Carinthia
Open
Challenges
the
Country’s
Best
WEST
DOVER
(March
3,
2011)
–
Snowboarders
from
all
over
the
country
will
descend
on
Carinthia
at
Mount
Snow
on
March
19th
and
20th.
The
Carinthia
Open
is
a
jam
format
slopestyle
event
with
$10,000
up
for
grabs.
Skiers
take
front
stage
on
Saturday
with
snowboarders
taking
over
on
Sunday.
The
event
is
held
on
the
Inferno
terrain
park,
an
extra
large
feature
park
with
jumps
of
over
60
feet.
Inferno
is
the
only
park
to
have
hosted
slopestyle
events
for
the
X
Games
and
Winter
Dew
Tour.
Competitors
will
attempt
to
impress
judges
throughout
the
mornings
jam
format.
The
top
sixteen
will
be
chosen
to
compete
in
finals
where
the
best
of
two
runs
count.
This
is
not
your
standard
event
with
exact
judging
criteria.
Judges
want
to
see
creativity
and
flow
with
an
emphasis
on
showmanship.

Logan,
Nick
Goepper,
Parker
White,
LJ
Strenio
and
many
more.
This
year’s
event
features
competitors
from
all
over
the
US
and
Canada.
In
all
$10,000
will
be
awarded
throughout
the
weekend
with
a
boatload
of
prizes
for
top
amateurs.
New
this
year
is
a
best
trick
contest
where
the
day’s
best
trick
will
be
rewarded
with
a
Contour
1080HD
helmet
camera.

Registration
is
$100
per
competitor
