BURLINGTON,

(January

It’s
official
-
Canadian
Mark
McMorris
and
Wisconsin-native
Ethan
Deiss
are
now
on
Burton’s
AM
Team,
representing
Burton
outerwear
and
hardgoods
at
snowboard
contests
and
film
projects
around
the
globe.
Mark
paid
his
first
visit
to
Burton’s
home
base
in
Vermont
last
week
to
check
out
HQ
and
meet
product
managers.
After
his
visit,
Mark
had
this
to
say,
“I’m
really
stoked
to
be
riding
the
best
products
with
the
most
progressive
team
in
the
business,”
said
Mark.
“Since
I
got
on
the
program,
I’ve
already
been
working
with
such
great
people
that
all
share
a
strong
love
for
snowboarding,
and
I
wouldn’t
want
to
be
anywhere
else.”

Focusing
mainly
on
slopestyle
and
big
air
events,
Mark
will
be
on
the
contest
circuit
all
season
long
and
already
has
a
few
impressive
podiums
to
claim.
So
far,
he’s
earned
two
second
place
finishes
in
slopestyle
-
one
at
the
Dew
Tour
stop
in
Breckenridge
and
another
at
this
month’s
O’Neill
Evolution
in
Davos
where
he
landed
a
Cab
double
cork
1260.
This
past
weekend,
he
was
on
the
podium
again
after
getting
third
in
slopestyle
at
the
Killington
Dew
Tour
stop.
Now
for
the
first
time,
Mark
is
headed
to
the
Aspen
X
Games
with
the
rest
of
the
world’s
top
riders
to
compete
in
big
air
and
slopestyle.

Ethan
Deiss’
hometown
of
Osceola,
Wisconsin
isn’t
exactly
known
for
its
mountains.
But
lack
of
vertical
terrain
didn’t
keep
Ethan
from
putting
together
his
break-out
rail
video
part
in
the
2009
snowboard
movie
“Think
Positive”.
Now
that
he’s
on
the
Burton
AM
team,
Ethan
is
getting
his
first
chance
to
film
with
a
full-fledged
movie
project
this
season.

During
a
recent
filming
trip
in
Norway,
Ethan
said,
“You
wanna
know
what’s
cool
about
Burton…Everything.
My
only
regret
in
snowboarding
is
not
riding
for
Burton
earlier.
The
product
is
just
so
sick.”
Congratulations
to
Mark
and
Ethan
for
stepping
up
to
the
Burton
AM
Team.
